        Author: Kapryce Brown           Michigan Attorney General, Dana Nessel, released a video statement addressing the review of events leading to the death of Samuel Dajon Sterling.      April 17th, 2024, Detective Sergeant Brian Keely of the MSP operating on the Fugitive Task force in pursuit of Mr. Sterling, was found to be “legally, grossly negligent” says Nessel. In body, dash and neighboring business cameras, Keely is seen pulling into a Kentwood Burger King in an unmarked cruiser, turning towards Samuel Sterling, hitting and pinning him against the building. Upon backing up, Sterling falls to the ground as he is released from the vehicle's hold.   Author: Aly Bates // Riley Doggett Image courtesy of the family          In a horrific turn of events, the family of 17 year old Riley Doggett has announced his passing after spending over a month in critical condition at the Helen Devos Children’s Hospital after being hit by a Deputy of the Kent County Sheriff during a pursuit on April 8th, 2024.  The incident that took Riley’s life unfolded when he was sitting as a passenger in a car when the Kent County Sheriff made an attempt to pull the vehicle over. The vehicle was allegedly stolen and linked to multiple crimes that took place in the area. As the situation escalated, Riley exited the vehicle and fled the scene.
